Elle grabbed a pot and began boiling some water. He rounded up ingredients, and then decided to jump in on conversation.
"So, Melody ... I can't remember," he said with a thoughtful smile, "where did we first meet?"

Trix hated this. Her speed was useless pinned down under all this weight, and her hands were secured so she couldn't use them. He looked close to passing out from pain, so Trix hoped that whatever he did, it wouldn't last long. But she was fine with dying.
It would be a blow to her ego, surely ... But imagine after she made her way through hell, rising up stronger than ever, and letting him see her. Alive again. Not dead. Knowing he was in for hell ...
But no. She didn't want to go through hell now. Not now. Trix would fight. She had let her guard down after getting the hole in his leg but was ready for anything now.
"Do your worst," she said, slowing her breathing and not bothering to struggle under him, "you won't be conscious for long."

"You want us to help you stop the war?" Amarrow repeated, furrowing her brows in thought. The others were buzzing with a slight excitement that seemed to be electric.
"Yes... Please, Mar?" Wren asked, pushing out her bottom lip a little.. Her dark eyes softened as she looked at her sister.
"Fine, little bird," she said, nodding. "When do we leave?"
"How does now work?" Wren asked, chuckling.
"Eager, hmm? I think we can swing it," Amarrow said and all of them started to clear up camp. Wren was shocked to see how ordely they were, how polite. In a mere ten minutes, they were done and heading back in the road. With Wren and Amarrow leading the pack, they had time to talk, catch up. Amarrow told her of the scouting, the reserves, the connections. If this worked, they'd have the beginnings to end this war.

(Amarrow basically looks like Wren, but her hair is a bit darker, she's a little taller and thinner. And she had blue eyes.)

Melody smiled at what he asked. When did they first meet? She couldn't easily remember a time before him. She felt like he was always in her life, even though she knew that wasn't true. "it was a while ago. A starry night, I was sitting at the edge of my pond. And you just...showed up." Melody smiled to him and started looking through his cabinets. "You talked me out of making some really bad choices." She smiled over to him from where she was looking.

The night washed over him. He remembered clearly now. How broken she looked, but ... Beautiful. Elle poured the noodles in the boiling water.
"Right. And then after that night, I switched to your school," he smiled, also remembering him wonder why such a pretty girl had talked to someone like him in his most awkward stage.
"You were the first friend I ever made there. No offense, but that school area did not support my wizard skills all that well. My parents taught me most at home and then we could barely ever hang out for a while."

Wren and Amarrow had talked during the hike, more than they had ever talked before. They saw the little hut at the top of the hill. Suddenly, she was glad that they had all brought tents. They neared the top and Wren veered. She had probably been gone over and hour, close to two. She pointed the group toward a small flat a bit away from Elle's hut.
"Set up here and I can go talk to Elle for a minute," Wren said. Amarrow gave her a slightly approving look and she was
confused.
"Wizards are reliable," Amarrow chuckled and Wren looked away, shocked. Her cheeks were a light pink when she reached the hut. She pushed her hair out of her eyes and knocked.

Elle turned away from Melody.
Who could that be? Wren, maybe?
"I'll get the door, you keep an eye on the spaghetti," he told Melody, and opened the door.
Standing there he saw Wren, and over her shoulder was a group of people who he figured were demons.
"Uh, Wren? What is this for?" he asked slightly confused.
"Oh, and welcome back," Elle chuckled, almost forgetting.

"Friends," Wren said, glancing back to see that three tents had already been neatly set up. "We're not going to be able to start the war... But we can survive it." She turned back and called to her sister who skipped over.
"Elle, this is my... Sister, Amarrow," she said. "She's with a group of demons and healers," she explained."She also says she knows of more healers in the area. I know that this might have been a really stupId decision and all, but a part of me feels like it will help." Wren glanced at Melody behind him, cooking pasta and raised an eyebrow. Romantic dinner for two? Hm...

Elle nodded approvingly, "I think it would be good if we took most healers and kept them here. The more of them neutral, the better. Also, we have to keep this quiet, or we'll probably have our camp destroyed by soldiers."
After speaking his strategic plan, he turned to Wren's sister - who looked an awful lot like Wren - and said, "Hello Amarrow, I'm Elle. If I don't get the chance to, tell the group I'm very thankful they decided to come."
Elle turned back to Wren, "So, it's getting dark outside. Is it alright if maybe Melody stays in one of your tents? My hut can't fit any more than me at night, and anyone else in there would be . . . Weird."

Melody smiled at what he said. "I would run away late at night to come visit you. My parents never really noticed, so I guess that was good. That school wasnt my favorite place either." Melody heard the knock on the door and smiled at Elle as he went to get it. WHen he opened it, she tensed and went for her sword. The point of the blade was at Amarrows throat in seconds. Melody's kind eyes instantly changed to eyes of hatred. She pushed Elle behind her and just glared at the girl.

(Elle didn't actually SAY she was beautiful, he only thought it. He wouldn't have the nerve to do that xD)

"What the hell, Melody?" Elle asked after she shoved him away, his body slamming against the counter.
That is really going to hurt tomorrow.
Great, Elle thought sarcastically. Now they won't join our group because one of them is already being threatened with a sword.
He needed to make Melody less ... Spastic. It was getting on his nerves.

Amarrow raised a sculpted brow at the girl and sighed. "Little bird, maybe this isn't such a good idea. I had no idea you were staying with such hostile company." Wren knew Amarrow was more powerful than her, controlling electricity instead of something awful, like wind, but Wren went on the attack, placing a kick to the hilt of the sword. It spiraled away and was lodged in the ground. "What are you doing, you impulsive human?" Wren yelled, her fists clench. Amaarow clicked her tonhue at her temper.

"That monster murdered my family." Melody spat at Wren. "In front of me." She was weaker back then, so she couldn't stop it. After the attack, melody was left alone in the world. She grabbed a dagger from her side and had a tight grip on it. She wouldn't let this monster hurt Elle or the healer.

"Ammarow?" Wren asked with a shocked laugh. "Okay, now I know you're delusional," she said. "Amarrow is a human sympathizer."
Amarrow stood by Wren's side, her face passive. Wren's teeth ground together and reached for the dagger. "Put it down, Melody. You have no clue what you're dealing with," she warned, her voice low and her eyes icy.
Amarrow winced at Wren's tone. If the girl thought this was trus, than she would be volatile, dangerous.

"I know exactly what I am dealing with! Unless she has a twin, this is the thing that left me alone in the world. This monster is the person who took away my family from me. Took away my home." Melody slashed out, cutting the back of wrens hand. "Wren stay out of this. I don't want to hurt you." This wasn't good, seeing this girl again was sending Melody down an emotional spiral. When she was like this, she didn't think strait. "Why did you come here? Finish off my family? Kill me?" Melody's hand trembled as she spoke, making the dagger shake slightly.

Wren flinched her hand away. "You're right." She shook her head, letting out a peal of laughter. "She does have a twin. Everette," she said, but the name came out hard on her mouth. "She went on a rampage with my brothers, killing whoever they could get their hands on."
Amarrow looked deeply upset, as they had been so close before all of it happened and finally she said, "I'm sorry for you loss, but I assure you it wasn't me that committed the heinous crimes you have accused."

Reese blinked and bit back his next words of pride. He wouldn't go spitting random things at her now that he had no idea what move he was going to make next. All he had planned out was pinning her down so she couldn't burn him to death.
"We'll just stay like this till you take down this fire so I could retrieve a weapon to make this a fair fight," Reese said firmly, trying to distract her with a spiteful tone. He knew that this wouldn't last long, he would have to think of something else to do soon.
"This is not a one on one battle!" Reese heard a young boyish voice yell, the shout directed at the two of them, "Take down this circle of Hell so that our men can easily defeat these weaklings called humans!" He grimaced at the kid's words and looked up, trying to see who was saying these things.
The outline of the boy was blurry because of the fire wall in front of him, but Reese didn't need to see him too clearly to know that he was small. If she listened to what this kid said, he might have a chance of getting a weapon.

Elle felt a sadness ping through him when he was completely ignored. Was he that insignificant? First shoved away by Melody, now not even looked at even after he had spoken. Elle kept his eyes away from them and tuned out their conversation, not bothering to intervene.

Wren brushed past Melody with a sigh. She knew Amarrow could handle her own fights. She had Lily heal her hand and turned to Elle. "Do you have a rag?" She asked, biting her lip. She didn't want to wipe the blood off onto her pants because they were some of her favorites. Outside, she heard Amarrow explaining the situation to Melody, but for some reason, she didn't expect Melody to believe her... Unless there was a miracle.

(Kay so Mel is going to be in a coma until I get back from vacation. She'll come back to Elle when I get back. If he dies befor that I will be very mad at you people.)

Melody looked at the girl and back at Elle. "I can't...I'll see you later Elle." She grabbed the knife from the floor and pulled her hood up. The demons seemed to part for her as she pushed through them. She started walking away from the hut, not a hundred feet away when something hit the back of get head making her black out instantly. A dark demon stood over her and shook his head before leaving her.

(It would be preferred if someones finds her or something. And I'll introduce the new guy when I come back.)

Mavre, a sixteen year old healer, walked through the woods, trying to keep her footfalls quiet. She knew of stories that told of rare medicinal herbs in the mountains. About five minutes later, she caught sight of what looked like a hand, pale on the dark ground. She rushed over and found a girl. Instantly, she called for Davine and Oliander, who came over as well.
"She was the girl who put her sword at Amarrows throat," Davine noticed. "Maybe we should leave her here." Oliander whacked him in the side and lifted the girl up. The brought her into the healers tent and Alexis and Mavre kneeled over her. They healed the small wound on the back of her head and were relieved to find she was still breathing. Alexis shook her shoulder gently, but to know avail. The girl was still out cold. Davine walked up to the hut and told Amarrow, who passed the word to Elle and Wren. "She's in our healers tent."

Trix thought for a moment. She wasn't dumb. The moment the walls would come down, the burned human would grab a weapon. But not if she made him crawl off her first. Crawl, because of his leg. The thought brought back the snake-like smile on her face.
"I will once this inferior being gets off of me," Trix sighed, as if it were annoying rather than slightly painful.
He'd been wrong about a lot of things in their little battle. Mostly he was wrong about how he was going to slay her. Humans were so irrational, Trix thought tiredly.

Elle, wondering why Melody decided to leave so abruptly, made a quick spell for a rag.
"Here, here, sorry that I'm not much help in this . . . We need to wrap things up and go scouting for more healers in the area. The humans are too busy fighting demons to worry about a healing team. The demons may have one, because they declared this war and are probably more prepared . . ." Elle trailed off in thought.

Wren shrugged and cleaned the blood off her hand. She glanced back to the door and sighed, brushing past him. She stood outside the door, her lips pursed and her hand on her hip. "Let's scout, then. The demons have at least ten, twenty maybe." Wren called over to Amarrow, to keep on watch and them looked back at Elle, with a cocked brow. "This war isn't gonna wait for us find some healers."

Reese caught the smile that was now showing on her face and he shivered with fear. He wasn't able to hold it in any longer, he was afraid to die here and now.
"There's no way I'm getting off now that you have some idea in your head! I am not as dumb as you think me to be," Reese growled, trying to tighten his grip on her hands. He couldn't help but bit his lip with anxiety; worrying that she would end this now.
What if she were to suddenly lash out at him with a firey breath? Did she even have that power...? Hopefully not.

Reo scoffed and brushed the side of his shoulder while the boy who road behind him slashed at an upcoming human; it was a good thing Reo saved the boy from being killed earlier.
"Get him off you then, it looks like you're stronger than him," He stated, his eyes narrowing at the guy who was on top of her. Humans were always so desperate, Reo smiled at the thought, We are stronger than those fools.
No longer wanting to stay here, Reo kicked the sides of his horse, sending her running through more demon soldiers. The humans were farther away because the demons were pushing them back.

Trix decided she had better just get this plan into action. She didn't have strength, but she had speed. A part of her wished the demon outside had stayed so she could pawn this human off to him when she got up.
"You're right. You are dumber than I thought," she said as a whole new idea popped into her mind.
Trix curled her neck back, and then forced it forward incredibly fast, colliding with his forehead. The impact speed would surely be enough to knock him out cold, but Trix wasn't positive. She waited for his reaction, her hard head dully throbbing from the hit.

Elle nodded thoughtfully, "It's best if we get heading now. It is getting dark, but maybe that's the best time. Question is, where to look? Maybe there are more healers in the village we got the girl, Lily, from."
He walked forward so he was slightly behind Wren. A hand gesture behind his back got him two bottles of water, and he handed one to her. He was awake from his nap and clean from his shower, ready for a scouting trip. Would it be just him and Wren? The thought made him feel a bit dizzy.

Reese's head flew back and he gasped; surprised at her actions. It wasn't a strong enough blow to comepletely knock him off, but he did let go of her hands when he jerked back. His vision was too blurry and he had no idea what was going on around him. She could easily kill him right then and there.
Reese didn't know what to do! All he could try was reach out into the blurry masses of color and try to find her hands once more; but he knew that he would never take them in his hold again, it was too difficult.
By now Reese knew that this was it, she had him totally useless. With his hands still searching around him, and his body still slightly over hers, he closed his eyes and began to think of the last time he saw Vally. It was the only time he was sure of himself; it was the only time he could really smile.
