Demons vs. Humans "The War that Never Ends"

What if Melody overheard Wren talking to Lilly about Elle? That way she would have an opening to go up with them and make things all awkwardish.

That's true! She'd be all like, "I know an Elle..."

"Elle?" Melody asked, coming out from the shadows she was watching from. "The wizard? I know him..." She said blankly. How did these two know him? She bit her lower lip and watched them. "Is he in trouble?" Worry seemed to fill her at the thought of Elle being hurt or in trouble.

Wren scrunched up her nose. A human. "How do you know Elle?" She asked, cocking her head. "And no, he's not in any immediate danger," Wren purred softly. She couldn't promise anything during this war, though. Maybe this girl could be useful, especially if she really if know Elle... And a human was valuable due to theirknowledge on the paths and villages down here in the slums. "Maybe you should come with me, too."

Melody acted without thinking. She pushed the girl to the nearest wall and held her blade to the girls neck. "What danger is he in?" She snarled softly. She didnt care if it was immediate or not. Her grip on her zanpakuto was tight. Her instincts were taking control over her actions. This always happened when someone she cared about was in some sort of danger. On a normal day she would act without thinking. On a day when someone she cared about was in danger, she was dangerous to those around her.

(OOC: Oh melody...You really need to stop it with that sword.)

Wren smirked, her eyes seeming to grow darker, She took the blade of the sword and flun it down the alley, and then used a gust of wind to blow the girl away. "Girl, does your stupidity know a bound?" She asked. "The danger is the war. Next time, think with your head, not your sword," she warned, her lip taking on a snarl. The girls didn't know who Wren was or how dangerous she really was. Wren could take on a human, sword or not. It was a matter of smarts and speed, which she excelled in.

(haha....I love the advice. "Think with your head and not your sword". Perfect advice for Melody.)

Melody glared at the girl and took a step back. "It's not stupidity. It's instinct." She snarled back at the girl. Demon or not, Melody could take her. She looked down the alley towards her sword. "Why are you bringing a healer to him? Is he hurt?" Melody looked at the healer and back to the demon.

"No, he's not hurt at all," Wren said, her tone starting to sound defensive. Woah, where did that come from? She glanced back at the healer girl and sighed. "So, are you coming or not, Lily the healer? As I've promised before, you'll have a safe return home after you speak with Elle," she said. She managed to ignore the human girl. They were inferior, anyway, right?

Avery wrote:"Lily, my name is Wren and from my understanding, you're quite a powerful healer," she said with a smile that was supposed to be pleasant. "I'm here because of a wizard. His name is Elle. I assume that you've met before. Well, he needs your help now and it would be much appreciated if you could come with me. At leas for a bit. I can return you safe and sound," Wren assured the young girl. She knew it was a promise she shouldn't make because in all reality, she didn't know if she could keep it or if the girl was actually going to get hurt ot not.

Lily

"U-um, I don't know if I'm that powerful," I mumbled. "And, uh, yes, I met a wizard named Elle today..." I liked helping, but could I be sure that something...something bad wouldn't happen? With the start of the war... "Er, what do you need help with, exactly?"

Wren tried to smile, but the action just wasn't familiar to her. "I'm not quite sure. We'd have to ask Elle to find that out," she said, shrugging. "I can't assure nothing back won't happen, but I can assure that you'll be under the best protection," she said. They'd surely find a new healer that would be protecting her.

Melody watched as the other two chatted and went to grab her zanpakuto from where it rested in the ground. She picked in up and put it back in the seethe on her back. "I'm ready when you two are," she told them as she pulled her long dark hair into a braid to keep it out of her face.

Wre debated actually letting the girl come with them or not. She still hadn't founf out if lily was going to come with her. "Lily? Have you made up your mind?" She asked. "And though I don't like it, I guess you can come, too," Wren said, finally meeting the girls eyes. She didn't know the girl and Elle hadn't asked for her, so what if he got mad? What if she wanted to hurt him and she was just lying?

Lily

Against my better judgement...

"I'll go with you," I said, tugging at the hem of my shirt nervously.

Helping people was good, right? I liked helping people... Besides, where else did I have to go? I might as well go with this lady. And Elle didn't seem too dangerous...

"Wonderful," Wren said, her voice portraying the happiness that her facial expression lacked. "'mon girl," she said, wasting no time to start back to the path that Elle had led her. Only, she couldn't exactly find it. She looked around for a while and sighed, glancing in the direction of the demon territory and recognizing where she was. "This way," she sigh, supresseing a sigh of relief.

Lily

Did this Wren lady even know where she was going? She seemed lost for a while...

"So, um, this is about the war, right?" What else was a healer needed for in wartime? "Er, if you don't mind my asking...what side are you on?"

Wren found the path and began heading up. "Yes, this is about the war. I'm on your side, the side of the humans, I assume," she said, glancing back. The path seemed a lot steeper and longer than it was when she went up with Elle. She constantly kept glancing back, making sure that the girls hadn't fallen backwards and killed themselves.

Lily

"Actually..." I pulled at my shirt more, "I'm not sure what side I'm on... I don't know what to think of the war. It's..." I had no words to describe it.

Uh-oh...I wasn't in trouble now, was I?

Melody followed far behind the other two as she walked the path. All this time and Elle was so close to her? She never really knew where he lived, but she always thought it was someplace far away. Someplace she would never get to see.

Chase walked down the streets, looking around. Was a war really coming? Would he have to choose a side? The thought made him sigh. This couldnt and wouldnt end will for anyone.

Vally's eyes stayed down as he manuvered through the busy town. Some people moved aside as he walked with nowhere to go, but others didn't and he bumped into them. After several people moved aside for him, he decided to stop and heel the cut on his knee. Some of the blood had run onto his pants and he cursed softly and tried to wipe it away.

Wren wondered if Elle was still asleep as she trekked up the path. Hopefully he wasn't, because she had a feeling that it might be a little awkward if she woke him up. Specially with the human girl with her, too.

Chase saw a guy heeling his knee on the side of the road. "You ok?" He asked the guy, walking over to him. Chase's house was close. "Do you need help?" He offered the guy. He wondered how he got the cut in the first place, but didnt ask.

Vally chuckled and shook his head, the cut fully healed when he pulled his hand away. "I only need help if you can fix tears and remove stains," he muttered. Sitting on a barrel, he brushed off his knee, getting some of the dirt off from earlier. He smiled a little, trying to break his lack of emotion and hoping it would cheer himself up a little. He knew that he was going to try his hardest to be strong for Reese, but his happiness was shaken.

Chase chuckled softly. "Well, I can remove stains. If you really need help there." He followed the boy and leaned against a pole. "What happened? You look down." He noticed and watched the boy for his reaction. "Do you need to talk about something? Because if so, I'm all ears." He had nothing better to do, so why not listen to this kids problems?

Vally sighed and stood. He was tallish, but this guy was really tall. He looked up at him with a hopeful smile. "Well, my brother just left for the war and I'm pretty sure he's not coming back. He acted like he wasn't going to going to come back anytime soon. I... I dunno. I just feel like I should be going out there, too," Valorian sighed.

Reo smirked and shook his head, turning his horse around to go back to his old position. "You should learn to keep your mouth shut, the king's plan is brilliant. We have powers that the humans can't even dream of beating," He laughed softly at how foolish the girl's words were. How could anyone believe that the humans could beat us? They're horrible!"And besides," Reo glanced back at her, "If you're saying I should be in front, you're saying I'm not the strongest. But I'm definitely stronger than you." He scoffed and ordered his horse to continue up the path.

Amayah narrowed her eyes at him when he said she couldn't beat him. She thrust her hand out, taking control of his shadow. She couldnt control him with this, but she could make him stop walking for a couple minutes. "Cant beat me if you cant walk." She snarled to him softly, but let him go. "I have power you couldn't dream of."

"Dont say that. You dont want to be out there. You already said that your brother might not come back. Do you want to hurt your family by losing both of you?" Chase suddenly realized he shouldnt have said that. For multiple reasons. First off, he wasnt giving him much hope. Second off, He knew nothing about this boys family and what the situaiton. And third, he was basically saying that this kids brother might not come back. Oops. he should really think about what he says before he speaks.
